The Department invites applications for Part-time Instructor(s) to teach elementary and/or intermediate to advanced Japanese language courses in the undergraduate programme. Candidates with substantial teaching experience will also be invited to teach specialized Japanese language courses at the intermediate or advanced level (for example, Japanese Writing, Business Japanese, Spoken Japanese, etc.).

Applicants should have (i) a Master's degree in a relevant discipline, preferably in Japanese language teaching, linguistics, translation, or a related field; (ii) native or near-native fluency in Japanese and English; and (iii) at least 2 years of relevant classroom teaching experience in Japanese language courses.

Appointment will be made on contract basis for an initial term commencing in August 2027, renewable subject to performance, funding and mutual agreement.
